Registration is now open for fall sports only!
New this year: PSD is using A Better Way online registration system.
Before you begin:
- Go to https://bit.ly/LesherAthletics26 and create an account in A Better Way to register your student.
- Registration takes about 30–40 minutes, and you can save your progress and return later.
- Parents/guardians will watch 7 minutes of required videos.
- Students will watch 4 short videos (15–20 minutes total). Students only complete these once per school year.
- Use the "Add Relationship" feature to include any parent, guardian, or family member who should receive athletic communications.
Athletic Fees:
- $150 per sport
- Paying online through SchoolPay: select “Middle School Athletic Participation Fee”, then select your sport. There are no convenience fees to pay online.
- Paying by cash/check at the PSD Support Services Center: take payments to 2407 LaPorte Ave., 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cash and check payments are not accepted at schools. If this is a barrier for you, please let us know.
- Refunds: If your student is participating in a cut sport and doesn’t make the team, your fee will be refunded
- Fee waivers are available for qualifying families through the PSD Fee Waiver process. For more information on fees, please go to https://www.psdschools.org/our-schools/student-fees-and-charges
Sports Physical:
- A current PSD sports physical (valid for 1 year) is required before participation.
- Upload pages 3–4 of your physical to A Better Way. You site’s athletic director must approve physicals prior to practice.
- PDF, JPG or PNG files are best
- Make sure the whole page is visible
- All information on top of page 4 is filled out and both athlete and parent signatures are on the bottom
- The Health and Wellness Center at Centennial High School offers sports physicals/well child exams June - August. The Center can bill insurance and no child is ever turned away for inability to pay. For more information, visit https://hwcenters.org/ or call their office at 970-488-4900.
Gold Cards:
After your student's registration and physical are approved by the Athletic Director, they will receive a Gold Card from the office. Students must give this card to their coach before they can participate.

Athletic Attendance Expectation
To be eligible to participate in an athletic contest on the day of competition, Lesher Middle School student-athletes must be in attendance at school for at least 50% of the instructional day. This expectation reinforces the importance of academics and responsible school attendance. Students who arrive late or leave early must still meet the 50% requirement to participate. Absences related to medical appointments, family emergencies, or school-sponsored activities may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by school administration, but eligibility is not automatic. Final eligibility decisions rest with the Athletic Director.
