Lesher Students Advance in UNC Math Contest

On Monday, November 3, twenty Lesher students participated in the first round of the University of Northern Colorado Mathematics Contest.  This is a very challenging math contest designed for students in grades 7-12. All of our students did well and four did so well that they are invited to participate in the final round of the contest where they will compete against the best math students from across Colorado.

Turkey Roundup Day is Wednesday, November 19th

The Food Bank of Larimer County needs your help providing turkeys this holiday season! Each year the Food Bank provides services to over 40,000 residents of Larimer County - many of them PSD students.

Bring your frozen turkeys to school on November 19th, and your school's Turkey Wrangler will meet you at the door, take your donated turkey, and deliver it to the Food Bank (watch grocery store flyers for discounted prices!).

Scary Story Final Winners

At the big Halloween Scary Story celebration last Friday, we announced the final winners for each grade.  It was a difficult decision, as we had so many wonderful stories.  Please congratulate these winners:

Eighth Grade:

First place:  Skylar Beneck
Second place:  Emily Winn

Seventh Grade:

No Place for Hate Student Coalition

Thirty-four Lesher students (approximately 11 from each grade) will be attended an all-day training November 4th, 2014. The training is student focused and combines 2 trainings: Becoming An Ally - Interrupting Name-Calling & Bullying AND CyberAlly and is a part of Lesher’s No Place for Hate campaign. This program is designed to enhance the educational experience of all our students by equipping our student leaders in the coalition with skills to create a school culture based on understanding and respect. Go Vikings!
