Lesher Middle School

an IB World School

Welcome to The Ship!

♦ Colorado Middle School & Secondary Principal of the Year ♦

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Tom Dodd for being selected in April as the 2016 Colorado Middle Level and Secondary Principal of the Year by the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) and a committee of his peers from the Colorado Association of Secondary School Principals (CASSP). As Colorado's nominee for the National Secondary Principal of the Year award given by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), Dr. Dodd was notified in June that he is now 1 of 3 national finalists. Click this link to read the NASSP's press release: https://www.nassp.org/news-and-resources/media-relations/news-releases/t.... As a national finalist he participated this summer in conference calls with the NASSP and Lesher students, parents, and staff, submitted addendum essays, and was interviewed on September 11th by a panel of distinguished judges from the education community and NASSP staff in Washington, DC! The national winner will be recognized in a surprise announcement at 1 of the 3 finalists schools in October during National Principals Month. We're so proud to have Dr. D as the captain of our ship. Good luck and Go Vikings!
