Welcome to The Ship!

♦ Colorado & National Secondary Principal of the Year ♦

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Tom Dodd for being selected in April as the 2016 Colorado Middle Level and Secondary Principal of the Year by the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) and the Colorado Association of Secondary School Principals (CASSP). As Colorado's nominee for the National Secondary Principal of the Year award given by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), Dr. Dodd was notified in June that he was 1 of 3 national finalists. As a national finalist he joined conference calls with the NASSP and Lesher students, parents, and staff, submitted addendum essays, participated in panel discussions, and was interviewed on September 11th by a group of distinguished judges from the education community and NASSP staff in Washington, DC. On October 17th he was recognized as the 2017 National Principal of the Year in a surprise announcement at Lesher during National Principals Month! We're so proud to have Dr. D as the captain of our ship. Go Vikings! Click these links for more on the story:
