It's time for laptop training for 8th grade parents! Training at Lesher is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. There will be a lot of reasons to celebrate on March 15th... St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break, finishing TCAP's. Come celebrate with us at the St. Patties Day 5k on Saturday at Library Park. All proceeds benefit Partners Mentoring Youth and it is free for students! The 5k starts at 8:30, but kids 12 and under can run in the Shamrock Scurry at 8:15. We have a Lesher team that will be running, so wear a Lesher t-shirt and start Spring Break off on the right foot (or left foot if that's how you start a race). Make sure you sign up with team "Lesher!"
Fort Collins High School will be hosting an 8th grade Transition Night for parents and their students who are registered to attend FCHS next fall (2014-2015 school year).
- DATE: April 21st, 2014
- TIME: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
The upcoming dance date has changed to Friday, March 7th. We changed the date, because there are no conflicts with students and staff on the 7th (the conflict this next Friday is 3 staff members and ~35 students are out of town at the state TSA competition). Please plan accordingly and get ready to cut a little rug.
Dear Lesher Parents, Students, & Staff:
I’ve attached this week’s email blast of school-wide celebrations, announcements, and upcoming dates with supporting documents.
Also, in an effort to gain parent input and feedback regarding PSD and school programs/operations we invite you to participate in our 2014 parent engagement survey. Survey links are provided here in English and Spanish:
Student-led conferences were implemented and were very successful with our 6th grade students last semester. This semester we are incorporating student-led conferences school wide! Here is some information from the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) on traditional parent-teacher conferences (what we use to do) compared to student-led conferences (what we are doing now):
