Zoe Drigot entered and won an Earth Day essay competition. As a result, Zoe was invited to read her essay on stage at the Fort Collins Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 18th at Civic Center Park. Her essay addressed the question “How can your generation make a difference for our future in sustainability?” Follow the link below to read her essay!
All of this semester’s Lost & Found Items have been organized on tables in the Cafeteria. If you have lost or misplaced any clothing, books, water bottles, or miscellaneous since Winter Break please stop by to claim if they belong to you. These items will be on display until Monday, April 27 then they will be donated to a local charity.
The 45th Annual UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival! The largest event of its kind in the nation, the UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival brings together internationally recognized artists, jazz lovers, award-winning clinicians, and over 250 college, high school, and middle school big bands, combos, and jazz vocal groups from across the country.
Lesher extends an invitation to this year’s musical theatre production of Into the Woods Jr. in the Viking Performing Arts Center (VPAC) this week. Showtime is 7pm on Thursday, April 16th, Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th. The performance is very child-friendly so bring the whole family.
The students selected to these ensembles are being recognized as some of the top middle school musicians in our district. We are so proud of these students and the work they put forth everyday in class, as well as on their auditions. Congratulations to these students for their accomplishments!
A two week, no cost program designed to enhance girls’ interests and self-esteem in science, technology, engineering, and math. The program is open to girls entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Fall 2015, and was developed by faculty in Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University. This program represents an innovative, technology-rich learning experience comprising technical and social programming and runs during June 2015.
Lesher's 8th grade volleyball team finished the regular season 5 - 3. As the #3 seed in the district tournament, which took place on Saturday, April 11 at FRHS, where they finished 5th overall after going 2 - 2 on the day. Way to go Viqueens!
