Five weeks left for students to apply for Prudential Spirit of Community Awards!
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service.
Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created in 1995 to recognize students in middle and high school who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. These prestigious awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), are presented annually on the local, state and national level.
The deadline is fast approaching for youth volunteers to apply for local, state, and national recognition through the 2018 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.
This program is a wonderful way to celebrate students for their community service - and to elevate them as models for their peers. This year's student application deadline is November 7, 2017, and I hope you'll encourage your school's young volunteers to apply.
Awards are open to students in grades 5 - 12 who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service in the past year. Middle level and high school volunteers are honored in every state, and top honorees earn cash awards and an all-expenses-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C. Qualifying honorees also receive President's Volunteer Service Awards. Good luck students!
